Oregons Premier Home Inspection and Duct Cleaning

I found a special coupon in a local Beaverton ad paper for $89.95 I should have known that was too good to be true, after all said and done it came out to $339.00 for 1.5 hours work for them to vacuum out the air vents. Have them only do the work for the coupon price, if that is your budget. Make sure you watch them, I could not due to working from home that day. They had their vacuum on next to my closed office door while working on other rooms, and I could not hear a client on the phone. They should keep the vacuum in the room they are working on or outside the house if the hose permits. They tried to up-sell on the filters. But too costly. Angie's list says they take credit cards as well as cash and check, When they were done they said "I need a check for this amount" Did not offer any other form of payment methods! This should be updated on their listing.

I got new filters that cost me a small fortune and the filters don?t even fit right. Poor service and payed for stuff I didn?t need. Till this day the work has still not been corrected. I?ve called them and they said they would call when they got back from vacation. I?m very disappointed with everything they did.

He forgot one of the ducts but other than that, he was pretty good. The bill came to like $400. It was kind of expensive once he got in there. Overall, he did pretty good.

Our furnaces are in the attic so it's really hard to change the air filter so they suggested that on these returning air vents, we can put vent covers where we can slide the filters in so we don't have to climb up the attic every time we change the air filter. That was a great idea.

I was called promptly to set up an appointment. Owner and his son arrived right on time and started right to work. They were very methodical and organized and were very efficient. He pointed out a couple of maintenance items I should take care of on my furnace and showed me all the lint out of the dryer vent. I would recommend them and would use them again.

Very nice guy and pointed out things in the furnace to take care of. Also worked with me on scheduling without issue (I had to change appts a couple times) and he was very prompt.

The provider arrived within the scheduled window. Promptly started work on cleaning the ducts and the dryer vents. The only additional charge to the Big Deal we purchased was $25 for the second cold air return, which we expected. As a home inspector, the owner also pointed out a couple of minor helpful things we could do around our home to help keep things in good shape. Very worthwhile, the ducts really needed the cleaning!

Steve and Hunter were on time, professional, thorough, speedy, and all around good guys! Their fee was reasonable and I felt they did a much better job than the company I had hired a few years ago. I will definitely use them again!

Good work. But did not expect to pay additional $190 after purchasing the service at &149. Higher than expected.

Steve showed up on time, was very friendly and courteous. He went right to work and was very efficient. He stuck to his estimate. He showed us how bad our filter was and recommended a permanent filter, which he ordered for us. He was very clean and answered our many, many questions. He also has a great sense of humor (very important to us!) When our permanent filter arrived we asked if he would come and install it for us, he readily scheduled a day. Steve arrived right on time and quickly installed our filter and refused to charge us for the call. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and outcome.

The service went fine, but it didn’t require a lot of work. I didn’t need the dryer vent cleaned. I think I probably over paid for the service. The guys were nice though.

The work was fine. The worker was professional and made suggestions and didn't try to up-sell. However, he did scratch up my hardwood flooring and no mention was made of having done so. I discovered this after he was done.

Arrived on time . Took shoes off at the door! Very professional and got to work asap. They worked fast and efficiently and did a great job. I was comfortable with them being in my home and would hire them again.

We were pleased with the service we received. Our air vents were pretty dirty! The whole process took roughly 3 hours, I feel they did a great job. This is something we have been wanting to do for a long time!

Went the extra mile regarding our dryer vent. I was surprised that we had as many vents and returns as we did and had not expected an additional charge to my initial purchase. Once it was explained to me (very professionally) I could understand stand the additional charges. They were very thorough and were happy to explain the procedures.

They were early, which is better than late. They brought a huge machine into the house, which I wish I would have known about before hand, but that is my fault for not asking. They were in every room so I'm assuming that they were thorough. they tried to upsell me on a sanitizing procedure, which I declined, but did sell me a new filter for my furnace for about $80 or $90, can't remember exactly. Only one of the guys took his shoes off as the sign on my door requests, but with the big machine with rubber wheels all over my newly refinished hardwood floors, it hardly mattered. I think they did a good job; it's hard to know with this type of procedure, but when I turn on the A/C this August, I hope it's cleaner than last summer.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal to try out this company. I had issues with my dryer vent being clogged and it was too far up to get it out by traditional means. It would take 3 cycles to get my clothes dry. Steve contacted me right away after I purchased the deal to set up the appointment. He was very clear in when and how he would communicate with me and we arranged an appointment. He called ahead when he was on his way, just like he said he would. The service costs more than I anticipated; however, it clearly stated on the coupon what was covered but I didn't understand the techical terms. He explained what the extra costs were due to and made sure I understood and that the coupon had been clear. Even though there was extra cost involved, I appreciated him taking the time to explain why and don't hold my lack of understanding against him. My house smells fresher and my dryer works like it was brand new again. It only takes 1 cycle to dry my clothes now! I will use this company again and recommend to others.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. The service responded within an hour to my purchase via email as requested. I responded with dates and times I preferred and it was scheduled quickly and easily. The two man crew arrived on time, were polite and professional and explained everything. He also pointed out some dampness under our heat pump that shouldn't be there. I did pay additional fees over and above the Big Deal (as I knew I would because we have more vents than the deal included). Of course, we don't know how clean they got the ducts (haven't been in there!) but since our house is almost 40 years old and we live in a rural area (gravel road, dusty pasture) it can only help. I did see a similar deal from the same company in a coupon book mailer that we received at our home a few days before the service. I asked about it: similar deal, Angie's List saved me about $3.

They called and asked if could come early, since they were on my side of town. I appreciated this, as it worked out well for me as well. Friendly and professional. The process did not take long and they cleaned up after. I would recommend them to my friends and I am planning on using them for the house I recently bought.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. I spent another $50 over the Big Deal price for additional work they found. They were very knowledgeable and efficient in what they were doing. They also communicated very well.

Steve and his helper did an amazing job. They followed up night before and morning of to remind us and let us know they were going to be on time. I was not home when Steve arrived but my wife was with our little baby (worried me a bit). Steve walked her through services and made her feel very comfortable. She called me part way through the service as said she wanted to pay to get our dryer vent cleaned which I promptly said no as I had seen things on Angie's List from people saying Bait and Switch. Steve listened to my wife tell him how hot the dryer had been getting so he ended up cleaning the dryer for free as he later told me he could not in good faith leave the house with a potential fire hazard for my wife and little son. Steve kept what he cleaned out the dryer vent and put it in a bag... very surpirsed at everything that came out... Highly reccomend people clean their dryer vent! Steve also recommended we clean our furnace which I again said no to over the phone. I ended up racing home to make sure my wife wasn't being taken advantage. Upon meeting with Steve I felt he was a true professional. I can see how some people think of him as a salesman bait and switch kind of guy but I never felt any pressure nor did my wife from him. He is a good sales guy because he is a true professional of his trade and knows it very well. Steve walked me through issues he had uncovered with my duct work (too small of duct in my master bedroom - explain why it is always so dam cold in there). He also walked me through the furnace which I agree needs to be cleaned. He said it would take about 2 seasons to recoup my minimal cost of cleaning it. Steve also fixed a vent cover for us (no charge) that has not stayed on in 5 years which also worries my wife and I that our little son was going to cut his hand on crawling around. I can not say enough how pleased I am we found Steve. I will be looking at doing more work with him in the future to help us get our heating and cooling right as we now know why we are paying so much in heating in cooling cost for our little house. I highly recommend Steve and his company.

After we bought our home, we realized that the ducts smelled dusty. We had no idea how long it had been since they'd been cleaned, but we were pretty sure it had been a long time. Boy, were we right about that! Steve and his helper came in with a giant vacuum. They were very careful getting it up and down our narrow stairs. They were very thorough, even showing me some of what they found - old fuzzy slippers, a dart, a rubber ball. Someone's kids had a good time throwing stuff down the vents. From the style of the items, we estimated that they dated back at least 20 years. After cleaning the ducts, Steve looked at our furnace. The people we'd bought the house from had installed too small of a filter, so it was essentially doing nothing. Steve ordered us a special lifetime filter along with a special cleaner. Having the right size filter definitely makes a difference, and now we don't have to worry about finding this non-standard size for replacements. We just wash the filter and we're good to go. The cost included the special order filter and cleaner. I was very happy with the service. It was thorough and friendly, and I was given lots of helpful tips on maintenance.
